A lip lift shortens the space between the base of the nose and the upper lip, revealing more of the upper lip for a fresher, more balanced mouth.
It is performed through a discreet incision hidden at the base of the nose (subnasal or “bullhorn” lip lift). When needed, the corners of the mouth can also be lifted in the same procedure.

When the distance between the base of the nose and the upper lip is long, the upper lip can look longer and show less of its red part. A lip lift removes a small strip of skin under the nose to shorten this distance, changing the shape of the lip itself instead of adding volume with fillers.
If the corners of the mouth turn down, they can be lifted at the same time.
The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia. The incision follows the natural curve of the base of the nose so that the scar is as discreet as possible.
Stitches are removed after 5 to 7 days, and most patients return to work after about a week.
